Christopher Lewis

Financial markets writer and analyst. Twenty years covering futures, forex, indices, and commodities.

I write market education and content for brokers, trading platforms, prop firms, fintechs, and financial publishers. My analysis runs daily on FXEmpire and DailyForex, where I’ve covered index futures, gold, oil, natural gas, and the major currency pairs for readers at every experience level.

I trade the instruments I write about — index futures, primarily — which means product content that reflects how the tools actually work rather than how a spec sheet describes them.

What I do

Futures and markets education. Instrument guides, order mechanics, margin and roll explainers, session behavior. Evergreen library content that stays accurate.

Platform and software content. Tutorials, feature walkthroughs, onboarding documentation, comparison pieces. Written by someone who uses the software daily.

Compliance-aware content. Regulated markets content is where good writing gets expensive if it’s wrong. I write to the promotional and disclosure standards that apply in the jurisdiction you’re selling into — NFA Compliance Rule 2-29 for US futures firms, FCA financial promotion rules in the UK, ESMA risk-warning and leverage requirements across the EU, and the equivalent regimes under ASIC, CySEC, FSCA, and FMA.

That means balanced risk-versus-reward treatment, correct handling of hypothetical and past performance, no implied guarantees, and no language that sends your compliance team back to the drawing board.

For publishers and comparison sites, the same discipline applies to editorial standards: claims verified against primary regulatory sources rather than repeated from competitors, which is what YMYL content has to survive now.
